Out of Orbit (Coming Soon)
A downloadable TTRPG
Out of Orbit was Kickstarted as a part of Zine Month 2025 and is set to release in the Fall.
Pre-Order it on Backerkit now today.
You're LOST. Crash landed on a rogue planet with no ability to leave. Will you be able to guide the survivors to get... out of orbit?
Stranded far off course, with no hope of immediate rescue, survival is paramount. Build your camp, explore the untamed planet, and endure the impending threat of local life forms as your group struggles to find a way off the planet—or learn to make peace with their new home.
In this troupe survival RPG for 3-6 players and 1 game master, you’ll collectively take control of a group of survivors—crew and passengers of a crashed starship—on an uncharted and alien world.
Out of Orbit features the Entwine RPG system, emphasizing collaboration, improvisation, and teamwork. The game flows through a dynamic cycle of dangerous missions and vital downtime as your survivors gather resources, uncover mysteries, and face the mounting tensions of a fractured community.
Will you band together, break apart, or adapt to your new reality? The choice is yours.
This game is inspired by shows like LOST and Scavenger's Reign, by the art of Moebius and Mike Mignola, and by incredible games like Microscope (Ben Robbins) and Band of Blades (Evil Hat)
Design Ethos
Out of Orbit is a collaborative game designed out of a desire to see cooperative interplay between players and a large group of characters. The base mechanics are built on the Entwine RPG system used initially in my game Battle School, and pull inspiration from other games like Microscope for the Flashbacks and Band of Blades for some of the camp and mission structure.
Out of Orbit requires teamwork. Survival on an alien world with little training or skill to do so will not come easily. The players will have to work together to guide the survivors in developing their camp, unwinding the mystery of this planet, and maybe even one day getting out of orbit.
